The Nigerian Dwarf is a miniature dairy goat of West African origin. Nigerians have a gentle, friendly personality that makes them good pets for adults and children. The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy still considers Nigerian Dwarfs to be "rare". Many breeders enjoy showing their goats in AGS and NDGA sanctioned shows.
At Bagwell Farms we milk our Nigerians and bottle feed our kids. We find bottle feeding the kids makes them gentler and gives us a closer bond to our goats from the beginning.
